  • prop 172 is revenue from sales tax...this would mean a $24 million reduction for sheriff
  • district attorney and sheriff being asked to reduce costs equal to lower prop 172 revenue
  • the recommendation is for all county departments take an immediate 5% reduction except da and sheriff
