The California Rehabilitation Oversight Board is mandated to regularly examine the various mental health, substance abuse, educational, and employment programs for inmates and parolees operated by the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
Sheriff Carona was appointed to the oversight board by the California State Sheriff's Association. He serves as the Association's only representative.
